Several of our valued Amadeus clients walked away with awards at last week’s World Travel Awards Africa and Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony which took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Convention Centre, in Kigali.
Renowned as the “Oscars” of the global travel and tourism industry, the World Travel Awards aims to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence across all sectors of the industry.

Kenya Airways has won the title of “Africa’s Leading Airline” for the second consecutive time. The airline also bagged the title of “Africa’s leading airline – Business Class” . The on-board service of the carrier is renowned and the lie-flat business class seat on the wide-body aircraft is consistently voted among the world’s top 10.
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Sebastian Mikosz attributed the achievement to the dedicated and talented staff at the airline that work hard to provide the best travel experience possible for its guests.
“Winning these awards would not have been possible without the passion and dedication of the Kenya Airways team and the strong support from our guests. Our guests are at the heart of everything we do at the airline and these two awards confirm our undeterred commitment to them.”
Ethiopian Airlines scooped the award of Leading Airline Brand for 2017 as well as Best Economy Class in Africa.
Fastjet received its second award this year as the airline was named Leading African Low- Cost.

Club Travel won the award for South Africa’s Leading Travel Agency.

FCM Travel Solutions
FCM Travel Solutions has been named Leading Travel Management Company for Africa at the World Travel Awards for the third time.

The award for Nigeria’s Leading Travel Management Company went to HRG Nigeria for the third year in a row.

Bonfire Adventures and Events won two awards : Africa’s leading travel agency and Kenya’s leading travel agency!

Satguru Travel was named as Nigeria’s Leading Travel Agency for 2017, as well as the Leading Travel Agency in Tanzania and in Rwanda.
Travel With Flair
Travel With Flair was named South Africa’s Leading Travel Management Company for 2017.
“It is exhilarating to receive these awards. We’re really honoured,” said Tibor Zsadanyi, COO Travel With Flair.

Europcar scooped the award of Africa’s Leading Car Rental Company for 2017.
