Superpower                             – Amadeus e-Power and Amadeus Corporate Travel

Started at Amadeus                  – 2007

Hobby                                      – Forest hikes and running with his Rottweiler called Arthur

Lamine was among the first to launch Amadeus e-Power in the region 11 years ago. It was a real challenge as, at that time, most agencies did not believe in the online world. “It was a desert, there was nothing. But as time went by, the solution started to take off, “says Lamine. “What fascinates me is the challenge of making something from nothing.”

Today, Amadeus e-Power solution is implemented in 15 markets in Central West Africa (Benin, Togo, Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Bissau, Congo Brazzaville, Congo Kinshasa, Mauritania, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Senegal, Mali, Mauritania).

“With Amadeus e-Power Consolidator and e-Power Premium we are number one in SSA and are in the top 10 in the world with a sixth-place ranking,” says Lamine proudly. In addition, with banks starting to offer online payment solutions, Lamine predicts that the adoption of the solution will accelerate because he feels “there is a huge potential in Africa”.

“The face of Africa is changing, thanks to the rise of the digital economy in particular. Mobile Internet and e-commerce offer numerous opportunities and continue to grow exponentially. My biggest challenge is to help with as well contribute to the digitalisation of the travel industry in Central West Africa, “he says.

With a technical and commercial engineering background, Lamine also has more than fifteen years of experience as a web developer. He uses this experience to help agencies reach their goals and potential. However, what Lamine loves most about his career at Amadeus is to be able to connect and exchange ideas with clients and partners from all over the world. “I work regularly with people from 22 different countries. Each day, I get to discover different mentalities and different cultures,” he says.

When not at work, Lamine enjoys hiking in the woods, running with his Rottweiler Arthur or surfing the net.
