Last week on Facebook, we promised you exciting news with Amadeus signing a new carrier in Nigeria. Today, we’re ready to reveal who this mystery new airline is… … Nigeria’s rising star, Med-View Airline has joined the Amadeus family!
So if your clients are winging their way to Enugu, Yola, Maiduguri or even London, you’ll now be able to book them a seat on Amadeus. No more waiting and holding the line for the airline’s call centre or venturing online to find the airline’s website. Travel agents will now get the same content and conditions as those who go online and have access to Med-View’s entire range of fares, schedules and availability on the GDS.
Med-View has seen rapid expansion in the Nigerian market: from its humble beginning in 2007 as a charter operator with flights to Haji, the airline now has an impressive route offering boasting both international and domestic routes. This year alone, the airline has started operations domestically to Kano and Kaduna. And also internationally, the airline added new routes this year with a service to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
But the airline is not ready to stop here. Med-View has announced it has ambitious expansion plans and has told us that Amadeus will be a driving factor in bringing its expansion plans to life thanks to the increased international partnership opportunities. So watch this space for more exciting developments and news!
