This year we’ll be hosting our Spotlight workshop on the 10th & 11th February, after the 2014 Gabs workshop was such a great success. Last year there were 26 exhibitors and more than 191 traders and corporates and 22 different travel agencies attending the two sessions.
Because last year’s format was such a great success with 71 attending the morning and 120 in the evening, we will be approaching this year in a similar fashion.
We start off with the late afternoon/evening session on Tuesday, 10 February, and on Wednesday morning, 11 February, we have the breakfast session. This cuts down on accommodation costs for the attendees.
This workshop is a Spotlight on everywhere….overseas travel, Africa, regional and domestic travel within Botswana. Gaborone has always been one of the more enthusiastic audiences and the feedback we receive from Exhibitors are always very positive.
Gaborone is a thriving commercial centre in Southern Africa with a booming economy and it has become the heart of the global diamond industry. Overseas Travel is increasing and there are 25IATA Travel Agencies in Gaborone, so it will be an ideal opportunity for airlines, international tourist offices, cruise companies and coach tour companies to network with agents.
Gaborone residents are great weekend travellers. This workshop is an ideal chance for Hotels, Lodges and Tourism organisations within Botswana and over the border in Madikwe, North West, Limpopo, Gauteng, etc., to promote their packages, lodges, shopping opportunities, etc.
