Amadeus Tip: How to retrieve a Past Date Record (PDR) with Amadeus PNR Recall

Amadeus Tip

Have you been wondering how to efficiently retrieve a Past Date Record? With our latest Amadeus Tip, we give you some handy ways and useful entries to retrieve a PDR.

You can retrieve a Past Date Record (PDR) using the following entries:

  • Record locator: RPD/RLC-A1B2C3/23sep07*T (text)
  • Flight, date and name:RPD/6X9876/23SEP98-PAXXXX (text)
  • Record locator:RPD/RLC-RECLOC (where RECLOC = record locator)
  • Record locator for Premium*: RPP/RLC-RECLOC
  • Airsegment history: RPP/RHA
  • TST history:RPP/TTH or RPP/TTHx (Tst number)

A PNR is purged four (4) days after the start date of its last segment, whether that segment was canceled or not. This means:

  • four days after departure for a flight, tour or cruise segment,
  • four days after check-in for a hotel segment, and
  • four days after the pick-up date for a car segment.

PNRs can be recalled for period of three (3) years after the last segment is flown or completed.  After that, they are deleted from the system and cannot be recovered.

Once a PNR has been purged, there are two ways to recall it. Either online (interactively) which is chargeable or the more common free of charge option – offline. When recalling PDR offline, results are displayed within 48 hours.

You can retrieve a Past Date Record locator for Premium history using the following entry:

RPP/RH

You can retrieve the history by element type (RHA, RHN, RHF).

Example:

RPP/RHH

Example output:

PDR * READ MODE * officeID/XXXXXX/SU 12APR16/0649Z RPP/RLC-RECLOC
011 AS/HHL XX HK1 DEL IN04FEB OUT05FEB 1B*QFXX INR11341.00 D

Note: The RPP/RH entry be used only when the PDR is displayed on the terminal. It cannot be used when a PDR is displayed in Queue.

Using the record locator of the original PNR

RLC- RELOC LOCATOR

You must specify the day, month, and year.
*T Asterisk, optional target output display. T for terminal, Q for queue, P for print

Using the Flight, Date and Name

RPD/6X9876/23SEP07-PAXXXX(text)

Note: a retrieval entry will only work if the element included in the entry was present in the face of the PNR at the time the PNR was purged. For example if you attempt to recall a PNR by flight, but the flight was cancelled and moved to history before the PNR was purged, the PNR will not be found. This also applies to auxiliary segments, ticket number, and FFN elements.
