Amadeus AfricaThis centre is a new milestone in our long-standing relationship with this key region. This is an initiative that is expected to strengthen our responsiveness to customer needs. This is the first office of its kind on the continent and complements our various solution centres located in major regions around the globe.

Although the centre is located in Johannesburg, it will provide support to more than 48 countries in Southern, East and Central West Africa, including Mauritius, and Madagascar. Amadeus customers in the region will benefit from the increased attention and support due to the closer proximity of resources and solutions more suited to their market requirements.

“Our goal for the Regional Solution Centre is to ensure that the right regional solution portfolio is made available to meet the specific needs of customers,” says Allison Zack, Head of Regional Solution Centre, Sub-Saharan Africa, Amadeus. “It’s equally important that this portfolio of solutions is correctly implemented and supported delivering on superior levels of customer service excellence.”

A regional team will support Allison, who has been with Amadeus for more than 14 years in various roles related to the company’s operations and solutions in South Africa. The centre’s core team is responsible for guiding strategy, providing consultancy services and co-ordinating projects across the region, ensuring that the needs of each market are provided for.

“The continent is seen as a prime growth market for the travel industry characterised by widespread infrastructure projects and investments that are helping to drive economic activity and development. By establishing the new Regional Solution Centre, Allison and her team will be better positioned to support growth in the region,” says Santiago Jimenez, Director, Sub-Saharan Africa, Amadeus.

“We expect to deliver significant improvements in the management and development of solutions needed across Sub-Saharan Africa to ensure that our customers can better serve travellers,” says Zack. “Establishing a centre on the continent is also evidence of our commitment to the region. From our experience, bringing resources to where our customers are based is the key to success,” added Zack.
