Having the right technology to know where your travellers are and how to locate them is a must for any travel management company (TMC). For Raptim, this is especially critical: the TMC pioneered the world of humanitarian travel by air 65 years ago.
Today, Raptim helps 300,000 humanitarian workers get to where they need to be through whatever means necessary. Raptim’s clients include some of the world’s largest non-governmental organisations. When their employees need to travel, they sometimes need to reach extremely remote and sometimes dangerous places quickly and with peace of mind.
“We recently renewed our long-term partnership with Amadeus because of its global reach and unique breadth of content. Amadeus technology enables us to offer a centralised and expert travel management service to our humanitarian customers so they can travel more safely to remote places, ,” says Bart Kruijsen, Managing Director of Raptim.
As of this October, Amadeus is also going to help Raptim transform the way its clients manage their obligations in duty of care, with the integration of Amadeus Mobile Messenger. The web solution, allows travel managers to track travellers in real time, as well as provide risk intelligence and incident management. Travel managers also have the ability to send instructions to individuals or large groups of travellers at any point of their journey with easy two-way communication via SMS, email and via push notifications on the iOS, Windows and Android friendly app.
For Rotary International, one of Raptim’s newest clients, the TMC’s commitment to the latest duty of care technology was a key factor in selecting Raptim. “Raptim understands the importance of our travel missions and the sacrifices made by our volunteers and staff. Their new duty of care technology will help our Rotary club members feel safe whenever they are travelling with us, and that’s one of our biggest priorities,” says Robert Mintz, global travel manager of Rotary International
“Amadeus Mobile Messenger is designed specifically to help TMCs and their customers fulfil their obligations as it relates to traveller duty of care. We are proud to be working with a TMC like Raptim which purpose and unique expertise makes them a trusted partner of prestigious humanitarian organisations as Rotary International,” says Renaud Nicolle, the Head of Specialty & Networks at Amadeus.
