If you’re based in Kenya, you have no doubt already been in contact with Ruheena Jiwa Shah, Amadeus’ Delivery Specialist and Trainer.
She describes herself in one word as ‘conscientious’. A description I’m sure you’ll all agree with. But, what you may not know about her is that she is a true fashionista and absolutely loves shoe shopping.
Let’s start easy…. Tea or coffee?
None – I don’t drink either.
Because we’re in tech… First app you open in the morning?
Snapchat! Every morning, I love to see what my friends have been up to the previous night. That’s how I stay connected with them and I love the snapchat filters.
When you relax at night… what is your favourite movie?
The Devil Wears Prada. As you already know I love the fashion world… this movie is about how a girl who has no idea of fashion and style gets into the fashion world and starts loving everything to do with fashion…. It somehow kind of relates to me.
And your favourite book?
Shoeholic is my favourite book. It is about how a three girls from different worlds lose their jobs and go broke, but they are still spending their last dimes on shoes. They later get introduced to each other by a common friend and venture into a successful business trading in what they love “SHOES”
Because we all need music in our lives… three songs on your playlist:
Attention by Charlie Puth
Back to you by Louis Tomlinsion and Bebe Rexha
Dusk till Dawn by Zayn Malik and Sia
Last time you had a good laugh…
Last week Sunday. My husband and I were cracking a few jokes at home. We were mimicking our friends – how they talk, how they dance.
What else do you like to do in during your weekends?
I like catching up with family and friends. I normally have my Saturday lunch my dad and sisters and during my Saturday evenings I spend time with my friends; we either go for a movie or go for dinners.
My Sundays is when I relax and become a couch-potato.
Now that we know you like to dine out, where would you take us if we came over?
Shamuras… they have the most amazing chicken
Speaking of family… who did you look up to as a kid?
My elder sisters. As soon as they started working, they become very independent and whatever milestones they reached in their careers was thanks to their own hard work. They still inspire me.
Now the exciting part…
What makes you proud of Africa?
The people; their hospitality, their kindness and their love for everybody.
Your favourite place in Africa?
Kenya – Diani in particular. I love the simplicity of Diani – the people and the standards of living are not complicated as other places I have visited. The people there love their simple life and they’re happy.
If you could travel anywhere in the world…
Paris is one of my favorite places and I could go there all the time if I got the chance to.
It’s the city of love…. And fashion.
If you were granted one wish to change travel…
I would allow the auction of seats on flights or the auction of hotel rooms so that people can travel on a budget, while airlines and hotels also benefit from increased revenues… it is a win-win situation for all.
Charles De Gaulle in Paris.
Window or aisle?
Window – I like to look outside and see what’s happening – so not on top of the wing!
And well, we wouldn’t be Amadeus if we didn’t ask 1 question related….
